What this service is

Scammer Checker provides general educational information about common scam warning signs. It is not legal, financial, or security advice, and it is not a substitute for contacting your bank, the police, or a government agency.

No guarantee

The checker looks for known patterns. It cannot confirm who sent a message or whether a website is safe. A result of "Unable to establish trust" does not mean something is legitimate, and a warning does not prove fraud. Decisions you make remain yours.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to test or refine scam messages, to submit false reports, or to post accusations about identifiable private individuals. We may remove content and block abusive traffic.

Content and sources

Summaries are ours. Linked agency pages belong to their publishers, and a link is not an endorsement in either direction. The Family Scam Safety Guide may be printed and shared freely for non-commercial use, unaltered.

Purchases

The Family Safety Kit ($19) and the Organization Scam Awareness Kit ($499) are digital downloads. The buy buttons lead to build.sideroad.co, the Sideroad store. Payment is taken there by beehiiv and Stripe. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Any sales tax is calculated at checkout.

The family kit is licensed for one household, to print as often as you like for your own family. The organization kit is licensed to one organization for unlimited printing and internal distribution to its own residents, clients, members, and staff. Neither license includes resale or redistribution. You may adapt the editable text if you keep the source links, the review date, and the statements about what the material cannot do.

Refunds: The kits are digital downloads delivered at once, so sales are final after the files have been opened. If you were charged by mistake, were charged twice, or cannot get your files, tell us through the contact form within 14 days and we will fix it or refund you.

The kits are educational material. Buying one does not create an advisory, monitoring, or incident-response relationship, and no kit can prevent a loss or recover money.
